KnifeCut is the fast and effective program used for nesting and cutting ( leather, cardboard, textile or even synthetics...) materials on any cutter.
... stay at home, the World is coming at once!
KnifeCut
- Fast and effective tool of Delcam to nest and cut pieces by oscillated knife
- Nesting is made directly on the material through a projection system
- Two working areas to handle cutting and nesting simultaneously
- The table is directly driven by the cutting interface, all settings are software-controlled
- The system is capable of cutting various types of leather, cardboard, textile or even synthetics
- The cutting operation does not require the use of cutting dies anymore
- High cutting resolution
- Import formats: DXF, DXF-AAMA, HPGL and Microdynamics PLT/CUT
- Windows XP and newer
Nesting parameters
Manual nesting with possibility to use buffer around pieces, direction to place or nest pieces, move, rotate, bump and other parameters. Accurate calibration of the mirrors for an accurate projection of the pieces on the material. Information (style name, piece name, etc) can be plotted on the pieces. Group-nesting of pieces is also available. Shapes of the pieces are projected to the leather laid on the cutting table, which allows the operator to nest the pieces according to the characteristics and defects of the leather. Automatic nesting is also available for synthetic materials.
Import
DXF where the pieces are in blocks and DXF-AAMA (American Apparel Manufacturers Associations), HPGL where pieces are Labeled, Crispin's PAT, PLT or CUT formats. It is possible to develop a new import format according to the customer requirements.
Output
KnifeCut sends the data to the integrated cutting interface, which supports and manages the output in HPGL format to COM ports, files, through batch queues on network, etc and displays the cutting data (preview) for the user to review. Other format drivers can be added.
Cutting
KnifeCut can manage one or more cutting areas at the same time. It is possible to nest files for cutting on one area while cutting previously nested pieces on a second area. Knife cut was originally developed for the ZÿND LC2400 and LC1800 cutters, but could be adapted to various HPGL machines.
Minimum hardware requirements
PC compatible Pentium 4 or better, 256MB RAM, free serial port to drive the table.
